North Shore Community College PD is seeking entry-level officers to protect a dynamic campus community in Danvers and Lynn. You will engage with students and staff, perform patrols, investigations, and emergency response as part of full-scope public safety operations.

Applicants must meet extensive eligibility requirements, including background checks, certifications, and academy training. A community-first approach and teaching mindset are emphasized in NSCC PD culture.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for Special State Police Officer appointment under MA law.
• High school diploma or HiSET/GED.
• U.S. citizen, at least 21.
• Completion of Police Academy or MPTC training; pass agility, medical, and background checks.
• First Aid/CPR/AED cert or ability to obtain.
• Valid unrestricted firearms license.
• Massachusetts Class D license or higher (or out-of-state equivalent).
• Pass POST exam, drug test, and pre-placement medical.
