Job summary

Southern Nazarene University seeks a sworn Police Officer to help provide a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The role involves proactive law enforcement on campus and off-campus locations, applying knowledge from a law enforcement perspective in collaboration with university departments.

The position requires full-time commitment, physical fitness, and the ability to conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and coordinate with dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Must possess High School education or higher.
• Current CLEET certification in good standing.
• Experience as a law enforcement officer or FTO is desirable.
• Able to pass background checks and psychological examination.

Responsibilities

• Enforce state, local, and federal laws and campus policies.
• Patrol campus facilities and surrounding areas on foot and by vehicle.
• Respond to incidents and write comprehensive reports.
• Provide transport/escort for university officials and visitors.
• Maintain firearms proficiency and physical fitness as required.
• Coordinate with dispatch and other officers to manage field activity.
• Assist in crowd management at events and support police activities.
