Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in public safety at a post-secondary institution or related field.
• Current driver license and ability to be insured; must be 19+ to operate college vehicles and have 3+ years of driving history.
• Intermediate knowledge of word processing, email, and spreadsheet applications, preferably Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of college property and enforce laws and regulations.
• Conduct preliminary investigations, interview witnesses and victims, and prepare reports.
• Respond to emergencies and serve as first on-scene incident commander when needed.
• Provide first aid/CPR and coordinate with outside responders.
• Maintain records, inventories, and logs; support training and safety program.
• Collaborate with local emergency services and participate in safety drills and meetings.
