Qualifications

• Must be a student at Saint Xavier University.
• Must be Federal Work Study Eligible.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication including strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability and willingness to learn how to operate a two-way radio.
• Requires maintaining strict confidentiality and reference exposure to sensitive information.
• Requires ability to maintain responsible key / swipe card use during assigned shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the front lobby of an assigned residence hall; report any concerns to either an RA or the Department of Public Safety.
• Request photo identification and guest log signature from anyone who is not a hall resident; ensure guest is escorted by a resident at all times while visiting the residence hall.
• If assigned as a SDO Coordinator, ensure that SDO’s are at their posts during their assigned shift.
• If assigned as a SDO Coordinator, report any no-shows directly to the Administrative Assistance or his/her designee.
