Cal Poly is seeking a Community Service Specialist I in Public Safety to support campus police and parking operations, assisting with security, community engagement, and customer service alongside officers on non-hazardous calls.

Responsibilities include patrolling campus properties, responding to alarms, and aiding in enforcing campus policies while maintaining a safe learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with three months of related experience.
• Possession of valid driver's license by date of hire.
• Ability to obtain POST Dispatcher Certificate and Cal Poly access credentials upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus properties on foot, bicycle, and vehicle to maintain high visibility and safety.
• Respond to alarms, conduct tests and safety checks.
• Assist in education, intervention, and enforcement of campus policies.
