Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a part-time Prep Cook at Central Community College-Hastings in Hastings, NE. The role focuses on following recipes, preparing items on production sheets, and serving customers with efficiency and care.

Shifts include Fridays 4:00 pm–7:30 pm and weekends, with on-site work. Training is provided and meals are provided while working. Wage ranges from $16.00 to $16.50 per hour, with growth opportunities through the campus program.

Qualifications

• Prior short-order cooking experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule and prep requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals to ensure quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Store, label and date all food items according to policy; follow HACCP guidelines.
• Complete required documentation, reports, logs as required.
• Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Take orders and prepare items requiring short preparation time; serve customers efficiently.
