Qualifications

• Meet eligibility criteria for the State of North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Academy.
• 0–2 years of law-enforcement experience for Police Officer I.
• 2+ years as a sworn officer for Police Officer II.
• 4+ years as a sworn officer for Police Officer III.
• 6 years experience as a sworn officer for Master Police Officer I.
• 3 years as a Master Police Officer for Master Police Officer II.
• 6 years as a Master Police Officer for Master Police Officer III.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus and enforce laws and university policy.
• Respond to emergencies including fire and medical situations.
• Collect, preserve, and maintain evidence custody.
• Participate in crime-prevention programming.
• Assist with inspection and maintenance of emergency equipment.
• Work at special events supporting the university's mission.
