Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Current Tennessee Post certification or ability to obtain immediately upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a psychological examination and a medical examination.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus by foot, bicycle, or motor vehicle.
• Investigate suspected crimes, report findings, and arrest suspected individuals.
• Testify in court of legal proceedings.
• Investigate accidents involving persons or property, report probable cause, pursue appropriate action, document incidents/arrests.
• Operate law enforcement equipment safely and document offenses, arrests, and security systems.
• Provide escorts and/or make bank deposits or special mail deliveries.
• Ensure traffic control and enforcement; check doors and locks and respond to lockouts.
• Identify security-related conditions and collaborate on prevention strategies.
• Provide safety and crime prevention information to contacts; act as first responder to emergencies.
