Savannah Technical College is seeking a Campus Police Officer for the Savannah Campus to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The officer patrols campus areas, enforces laws and college policies, handles incidents, and may make arrests as needed.

Candidates should hold a high school diploma, Georgia POST certification, a valid driver's license, and be prepared to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Your future matters.Make your next career move with us!**Position Summary**:Under the general supervision of the Savannah Technical College Police Department, the Campus Police Officer is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and college property. The officer patrols assigned campus areas, monitors buildings and grounds, responds to calls for service, and assists with emergency and security-related incidents across Savannah Technical College campuses. The Campus Police Officer enforces applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as college policies and procedures. Duties include managing traffic flow, enforcing parking regulations, conducting building checks, investigating traffic incidents, thefts, vandalism, disturbances, suspicious activity, and other campus-related incidents. The officer prepares accurate reports, assists during emergencies, and may make arrests when necessary. This position requires professionalism, sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, employees, visitors, and outside public safety agencies.
