Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of police work experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
• Tennessee POST Certification or equivalent certification with limited lapse.
• Fingerprint records submitted as part of the hiring process.
• Must pass medical and fitness examinations before hire.

Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents and protect property, students, staff, and guests.
• Prepare official reports and issue campus citations as needed.
• Coordinate security for campus events and crisis planning.
• Patrol campus by foot, golf cart, or vehicle and respond to security requests.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and security contractors.
• Maintain equipment and ensure POST certification remains current.
