Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 3 years/36 months continuous law enforcement experience
• Out of law enforcement employment for less than 24 months
• In good standing with former employers
• Must meet 15.2-1705 Code of Virginia
• Must pass fingerprint-based background check
• Certification as a Law Enforcement Officer by the Virginia DCJS or qualify for the Option 5 Lateral program

Responsibilities

• Patrol, providing protection/safety and preventing crime.
• Investigates criminal activity, traffic and personal injury accidents and other complaints
• Enforcement of state traffic laws and promote traffic safety.
