Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking a Pipe/Mechanical Trades I to support Facilities Management on the Denver campus. This full-time state-classified role focuses on routine and corrective maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, with after-hours call-backs as needed.

You will log activities in CMMS, monitor Building Automation Systems, and coordinate work with journey-level technicians and contractors to ensure safe, reliable campus operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of progressively responsible experience in building maintenance or facilities operations.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
• Formal apprenticeship or equivalent coursework may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and utility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair building equipment and finishes to maintain safe operations.
• Monitor BAS and adjust parameters for energy efficiency and comfort.
• Coordinate tasks with journey-level technicians and contractors.
• Log all work in CMMS and document activities.
