Job summary

PennWest University is seeking enthusiastic undergraduate students for positions in Outdoor Recreation. Staff will provide various recreational opportunities to students and the wider community. Responsibilities include maintaining office hours, providing climbing instruction, coordinating trips, and conducting equipment rentals. Training is offered, and employees will work 10-20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. Candidates must be full-time students and exhibit commitment and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Full-time student at Pennsylvania Western University with a minimum of 12 credits.
• Good judicial standing with the university upon application.
• Extensive knowledge of campus programming.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certified.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining weekly office hours at the climbing gym.
• Providing belaying and/or climbing instruction.
• Coordinating adventure trip sign-ups.
• Overseeing outdoor equipment rentals.
• Leading adventure trips and managing all day-of-trip responsibilities.
• Maintaining office equipment and conducting inspections.
• Conducting maintenance for bike share program.
