Job summary

The Texas A&M University System Offices seeks an Information Technology Network Architect to lead the RELLIS campus network's technical and strategic direction from Bryan, TX. You will develop, maintain, and evolve a campus-wide network architecture ensuring performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or related field.
• Eight years of progressively responsible experience in network engineering/architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of the RELLIS campus network architecture (LAN/WAN/wireless/data center).
• Develop and enforce network engineering standards, design methodologies, and best practices.
• Review and approve network design plans and installation/testing standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for applicability to RELLIS objectives.
• Serve as senior technical escalation point for complex network issues.
• Oversee problem management, root-cause analysis, and enterprise troubleshooting.
• Ensure reliability, security, and performance of all network systems for RELLIS tenants.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Network Team and coordinate activities.
• Set priorities, assign work, and oversee network project execution.
• Collaborate with campus leadership on planning and service delivery strategies.
