Job summary

Xavier University of Louisiana invites applications for the Coordinator of Campus Ministry. The role supports worship services, retreats, and faith-based programming that nurtures spiritual growth among a diverse student body. It reports to the Dean of Interfaith and Spiritual Life and the University Chaplain.

The position emphasizes ecumenical engagement, Catholic social teaching, and leadership development within a faith-centered campus community.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of Catholic liturgy, spirituality, and social teaching.
At least 2 years of experience in an educational environment parish ministry or related setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a pastoral heart and commitment to student development.
Familiarity with Black Catholic tradition and Saint Katharine Drexel is desirable.

Responsibilities

Liturgical and Worship Support: coordinate and support worship services reflecting Xavier’s Black Catholic identity.
Retreats and Conferences: plan student spiritual retreats, leadership experiences and faith-based conferences.
Student Engagement and Ministry Programming: develop a campus ministry calendar and advise CRS Student Ambassadors.
Service and Social Justice: advise Vincent’s Vault Food Pantry and develop service opportunities.
Administrative Functions: manage communications, website, budgets, and student workers.
