Job summary

InterVarsity Press in San Diego, CA is seeking a Campus Ministry Associate (Undergraduate Ministry) for a one- to two-year, part-time posting. You will undergo intensive training, support campus staff ministry, and work to advance InterVarsity’s mission while developing leadership among students and faculty.

The role includes pastoral care, team leadership, and public engagement on campus, with pay range listed and fundraised salary.

Qualifications

• Ministry skills: prior experience teaching spiritual and biblical principles, planning ministry programs, and discipling others
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willing to receive training to become a Campus Staff Minister

Responsibilities

• Participate and be fully engaged in the ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction
• Teach students to love, study and apply Scripture to their lives
• Learn about and assist in leading in ministry to students and faculty on campus
• Promote and press forward the Mission on campus
• Seek opportunities to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ
• Learn to guide chapters in strategic thinking regarding witness to the university
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students and faculty
• Engage positively with supervision from staff ministry director
• Provide pastoral care and support for student and leadership teams
• Recruit students and faculty for conferences and projects
