Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
  • Licensed in Connecticut or license eligible; supervision provided during interim.
  • 1–2 years internship or general counseling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual counseling services and short-term counseling; maintain confidential documentation.
  • Offer crisis intervention and rotate weekly 24/7 crisis coverage.
  • Lead group counseling programs and promote group therapy offerings.
  • Develop psycho-educational outreach and trainings for staff and students.
  • May supervise MA-level students during internships and review intake notes.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and maintain compliance with CPS standards.
  • Interact with the university community as needed across departments.
  • Support professional development within the department and stay informed on best practices.
  • Promote safe work conditions and report unsafe practices.
