Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires general education or vocational training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to operate a typical motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally.
• Knowledge of and ability to use different hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team, coordinating with diverse staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, skilled plumbing duties, and repairs in university facilities.
• Perform general maintenance and repair work including carpentry, drywall, painting, and door hardware.
• Maintain and service furniture, appliances and other university property.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and supervise student workers as needed.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and work varied shifts as required.
