Job summary

Fork Union Military Academy is seeking a full-time Maintenance Plumber (Journeyman) to perform skilled plumbing work and support general maintenance across campus. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and assist with broader maintenance tasks for student, staff, and support facilities.

The role requires a valid journeyman plumber license, a high school diploma or GED, and a driver’s license. Preference is given to Virginia license holders with institutional or campus experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Active journeyman plumber license is required; Virginia license preferred.
• Plumbing experience in institutional, commercial, residential, or campus settings is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills are required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform journeyman-level plumbing work on water lines, drains, fixtures, valves, sinks, toilets and pumps.
• Diagnose leaks, clogs, pressure issues, and plumbing failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document repairs with work orders.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks and campus support as needed.
• Keep tools, materials, and work areas safe and organized.
