Job summary

DePaul University in Chicago seeks a Coordinator for Liturgy & Worship to lead planning and execution of liturgical and musical elements for campus Masses and events, including weekly 5:00 p.m. Mass in two chapels, and special liturgies with the St.

Vincent de Paul Parish. You will recruit, train, and supervise liturgical ministers and the student liturgy team, manage budgets, and collaborate across campus ministries to foster ecumenical and interfaith prayer opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience in liturgical life.
• Minimum 2 years experience coordinating liturgies in a parish or university setting.
• Knowledge of Catholic liturgical teaching and documents.
• Experience with interreligious/interfaith contexts preferred.
• Experience with budgets preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement all liturgical and musical aspects of university events, coordinate worship aids, lead music rehearsals, and train ministers.
• Lead weekly Liturgy Team meetings and oversee weekday Masses and special services.
• Recruit, supervise, and manage liturgical ministers, student team, and volunteers; manage sacristan tasks and budget items.
• Assist with monitoring the liturgy budget and perform related administrative duties.
