Job summary

Kennesaw State University is seeking a Lifeguard for a part-time role at the Kennesaw, GA aquatic facilities. The position requires constant patron surveillance, rule enforcement, and readiness to provide emergency care until EMS arrives.

Eligible candidates should hold current Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid certifications. Previous lifeguard experience is preferred and basic computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Current and valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• First Aid Certifications or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of patrons using aquatic facilities.
• Provide care in emergency situations in water and on land.
• Inspect the facility, analyze issues, and report unsafe conditions or equipment to the leader.
• Monitor water chemistry readings regularly and report unsafe readings to the Facility Operations team.
• Maintain a clean and safe aquatic area by performing basic cleaning tasks.
• Enforce and educate patrons on all rules, policies, and procedures per the manuals.
