Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Valid Texas school librarian certification preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of children's and young adult literature
• Ability to manage library systems, catalogs, and digital resources

Responsibilities

• Manage daily library operations including circulation, cataloging, and inventory
• Create an organized, welcoming library environment
• Select, acquire, and maintain library resources aligned with curriculum
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into instruction
• Provide instruction on research, information literacy, and digital citizenship
• Promote literacy through programs, events, and reading initiatives
• Train staff and students in use of library resources
• Track usage data and manage library budget and resources
