Job summary

PALMER COLLEGE FOUNDATION in Port Orange, FL is hiring a part-time work-study Library Assistant position available to current Palmer College of Chiropractic students. Responsibilities include checking books and AV materials in and out, shelving, assisting with printers and copiers, and ensuring the library area remains orderly.

Qualifications

• Must be current Palmer College of Chiropractic student.
• Interviews are required for all potential library assistants.
• Applicants must be in good academic standing.
• Selected assistants must complete training with library staff on duties.
• Understanding FERPA and HIPPA regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Check books/AV/reserve items in and out via automated/manual systems.
• Push in chairs and move furniture back to its original arrangement.
• Pick up books/journals/newspapers/AV and re-shelve in call number order.
• Fill computer printers & copy machines with paper.
• Report problems to appropriate library staff or security personnel.
• Assist in closing and locking the library at the appropriate time.
• Submit time sheet monthly to Branch Manager Librarian.
• Complete any assigned projects.
