Job summary

Southern Arkansas University Tech is seeking a Landscape Specialist for on-campus grounds maintenance and related general labor tasks. The role reports to the Assistant Director of the Physical Plant and requires capable operation of groundskeeping equipment and safe, independent work.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience, plus an Arkansas driver’s license and willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• One to two years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to operate groundskeeping and janitorial equipment.
• Must have an Arkansas driver's license and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds and building as assigned, under supervision.
• Loads and unloads items and handles freight daily.
• Operates tractors, lawn mowers, weed eaters, and related equipment.
• Picks up trash and trims shrubbery and trees.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs, fertilizes and waters.
