Job summary

Auburn University Facilities Management is seeking an HVACR Technician to support campus heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. You will help maintain comfort, efficiency, and operational integrity for students, faculty, and staff on Auburn's campus.

The role requires knowledge of HVACR theory, system components, and preventative maintenance, with on-call duties and potential to lead major repair projects. Training and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• HVACR technician with 2 years experience required for Level I; 5 years for Level II.
• Licenses: Valid Driver's License; Universal Refrigerant Card within 90 days.
• NATE HVAC Support Technician Certification or approved equivalent per policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, replacement, or repairs to HVACR equipment including refrigerants, AC, boilers, chillers, and related components.
• Plans, schedules, and executes major HVACR repair projects and leads emergency repairs.
• Inspects and troubleshoots HVACR systems to evaluate status and determine actions.
• Oversees work orders using AIM to prioritize and meet customer needs.
• Meets training and certification requirements; may be on-call and respond within 45 minutes.
