Job summary

Kennesaw State University is seeking a Residential Service Technician for the South Campus to perform maintenance on campus housing facilities, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry tasks. The role supports emergency, corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe and reliable living environment for residents.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and EPA certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current, valid driver’s license is required.
• EPA certification in class I, II, III or ability to obtain EPA universal certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs resident maintenance including plumbing, appliances, HVAC, electrical and carpentry.
• Performs basic electrical repairs such as wiring, fuses, fixtures, sockets, and HVAC repairs/installation.
• Performs routine plumbing repairs including water heaters, drain cleaning, pipes, gaskets, faucets and toilets.
• Monitors work performed by outside contractors.
• Notifies leadership of safety hazards and potential issues.
