Job summary

Rhode Island College is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to perform custodial and basic maintenance duties across campus facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, offices, classrooms, residence halls, and athletic spaces, plus restocking supplies and reporting safety concerns.

The role requires the ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of custodial methods and equipment.
• Ability to follow simple directions.
• Experience in cleaning and custodial tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, restrooms, offices, classrooms and public spaces.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Set up rooms and equipment for events, reports safety concerns.
