Job summary

Rhode Island College is seeking a part-time Housekeeper for Donovan Dining Center to perform daily cleaning of dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, offices, and walkways. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and operating custodial equipment, with the potential to assist with food service duties as needed.

The role requires the ability to follow simple verbal directions and a willingness to work under supervision, with opportunities for summer work based on seniority

Qualifications

• Ability to perform cleaning and custodial duties following simple instructions.
• Working knowledge of custodial equipment and methods.
• Housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, restrooms, kitchens and dining areas daily.
• Operate custodial equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with food preparation as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain dining area, tables, chairs and supplies in a neat and orderly manner.
• Keep offices, walkways and service areas clean and stocked.
