Job summary

The Beloit College facilities housekeeping team seeks a reliable individual to maintain cleanliness across campus. The role involves cleaning diverse spaces, assisting with event setups, and ensuring safe chemical and equipment practices in a busy liberal arts environment.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with a diverse community. On-call readiness and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations and safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate and work with a diverse community.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
• OSHA, fire and life safety standards awareness.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning tasks in assigned areas according to procedures and safety rules.
• Collects and removes trash and cleans litter both inside and outside.
• Cleans/restrooms, elevators, and room fixtures; dusts walls, doors, furniture, and windows.
• Cleans, sweeps, vacuums, mops and maintains floors and surfaces.
• Assists with snow removal, moving furniture, and setting up event spaces; reports equipment issues.
