Job summary

Beloit College is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to support the Facilities Department in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming campus spaces across residential, academic, and administrative buildings.

The role requires interaction with diverse faculty, staff, and students, with duties ranging from routine cleaning to assisting with event setups and maintaining equipment according to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning tasks in assigned areas following procedures and safety rules.
• Routine cleaning includes trash removal, restroom cleaning, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and floor care.
• Assist with snow removal and moving furnishings as needed.
• Maintain and report equipment malfunctions and supply levels.
• Work as part of a team and coordinate with facilities staff and student employees.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and handle hazardous materials appropriately.
