Qualifications

• General housekeeping and maintenance knowledge; commercial/institutional cleaning desirable.
• Ability to follow written instructions and chemical labels.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors (vacuuming, sweeping, washing, waxing).
• Shampoo carpets.
• Wash windows, walls, chalkboards, trash cans.
• Dust furniture and fixtures.
• Collect and empty trash; pick up litter.
• Remove biological waste.
• Clean, sanitize, stock bathrooms; change shower curtains.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Operate cleaning equipment (buffers, burnishers, extractors, auto scrubbing machines, wet vacs).
• Move furniture.
• Maintain basic electrical, heating, vents and fixtures.
• Assist in snow removal.
• Assist in training helpers under supervision.
