Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University seeks a Security Officer to protect personnel, patients, students, visitors, and assets across campus and hospital environments. You will patrol fixed posts or on tour, screen badges, and respond to incidents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with ability to understand security operations.
• Must be able to operate security technology and training modules.
• Ability to work all shifts and rotate as needed; maintain professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform security duties at fixed posts or on patrol across campus and hospital environments.
• Check badges and escort unauthorized persons off campus.
• Respond quickly to calls for service and coordinate with supervisors during emergencies.
• Investigate incidents and maintain patrol logs; provide follow-up information as directed.
• Assist with campus parking issues and safety team operations.
• Support loss prevention and training of new security staff as directed.
