Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience operating heavy equipment.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain Competent Person certification for excavations.
• FAA certification in airport safety and snow removal, as required for the position.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Ability to read maps, blueprints, and schematics.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices for heavy equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work outdoors 90%+ of the time in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for campus maintenance, streets, parking lots and garages.
• Assist with street signage and markings on campus.
• Assist with snow removal on campus streets, roads, parking lots, garages, and airport facility.
• Support construction/repair of campus infrastructure and related projects.
