Job summary

The University of the District of Columbia seeks a Director of Health Services to provide strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and administrative management of the Health Services program, supporting student success and campus wellness.

This role directs health operations, develops health promotion initiatives, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates with university leadership and external partners to promote a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Valid District of Columbia RN license and NP certification.
• 5+ years of nursing/health education experience.
• Experience in college health settings and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct planning and administration of Health Services, setting strategic priorities and ensuring high-quality care.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervise staff, and coordinate preventive care initiatives.
• Lead health promotion programs and campus outreach activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal/DC regulations including HIPAA and accreditation standards.
• Oversee budgets, equipment, EMR, and health insurance administration.
• Build partnerships with university leadership, departments, and community health organizations.
• Lead emergency preparedness and health risk management for campus events.
• Perform other duties to support the division and university.
