Qualifications

• Academic degree or certificate from a Nurse Practitioner program or equivalent training.
• Valid California RN license and BRN qualification for Nurse Practitioner.
• Furnishing certificate and DEA if delegated authority is granted.

Responsibilities

• Plans and assumes responsibility for clinical management of patients with common medical problems.
• Identifies health status by taking problem‑oriented history and performing examinations.
• Provides health education, preventive care, and patient counseling.
• Collaborates with physicians and other health center staff; may supervise nursing staff.
