Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate light mechanized equipment and participate in a variety of groundskeeping tasks in support of campus grounds maintenance projects.
• Cut lawn using power mower; services and maintains equipment as required.
• Pick up trash and debris from campus grounds, buildings streets, walkways, and parking areas.
• Trim and edge walks and flowerbeds using clippers and edging tools.
• Prune shrubs and hedges to improve growth, transplant trees, flowers, and bulbs.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks required for grounds maintenance and landscaping projects; place mulch and remove litter and other debris.
• Assist in setting up equipment for special events.
• Assist craft workers as helpers when directed; assist in moving office furniture when instructed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director/Assistant Director of Facilities and Grounds.
