Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a Landscape Worker to support grounds keeping across the campus. You will perform turf maintenance, planting, pruning, irrigation, and operation of equipment while following safety procedures.

Work is Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with benefits including vacation, sick leave, holidays, retirement, and tuition assistance. This role helps maintain a safe and inviting campus environment for teaching, research, and community activities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license at the time of hire and throughout the term of employment.
• Six months of experience in landscape, grounds, crop production and/or horticultural maintenance.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Mows turf areas, maintains flower beds, and assists in irrigation and pest control.
• Performs pruning, planting, and general landscape upkeep across campus.
• Operates equipment and carries out maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
• Completes paperwork and records related to work orders and plantings.
