Job summary

St. Norbert College is seeking a Grounds Technician to maintain turf, athletic fields, gardens, shrubs and trees across campus. The role includes winter grounds maintenance and on-call snow removal, with on-site work Monday–Friday 6:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m. and additional night/weekend hours as needed. Responsibilities include operating turf and snow removal equipment, supervising two student workers in summer, and ensuring campus safety and cleanliness while coordinating with campus staff in all

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of grounds maintenance experience.
• Forklift and aerial lift certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Knowledge of turf, flowers, shrubs and trees maintenance.
• Ability to operate turf maintenance and snow removal equipment.
• Able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain turf areas, athletic fields, gardens, shrubs and trees across campus.
• Perform winter maintenance of campus grounds, streets, parking lots and sidewalks.
• Operate landscaping equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Participate in the snow removal on-call program.
• Provide direction to two student employees during summer months.
