Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Operations staff member to perform on-campus landscape maintenance across the Cambridge campus, including turf care, plantings, irrigation, and seasonal snow removal. You will operate common landscaping equipment and assist with garden displays.

The role requires a valid MA driver’s license and a MA hydraulic hoisting license; overtime during winter and events is common; work is primarily on campus in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• One year of landscape installation and maintenance experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory driving history.
• Massachusetts hydraulic hoisting license.

Responsibilities

• Performs landscape maintenance including turf, shrubs, annuals, snow removal and litter pickup across campus.
• Maintains landscape systems: aeration, fertilization, seeding/sodding, walks, roads and irrigation.
• Mows and edges turf; assists planting and maintenance of gardens and containers.
• Operates walkways, roadways and drainage systems; provides snow removal using plows, loaders, spreaders; supports events and building cleanups.
