Job summary

Louisiana State University of Alexandria seeks a Mobile Equipment Operator 1 or 2 to operate a range of heavy equipment and support campus transportation, maintenance and construction tasks. The role requires safety and reliability in a structured university setting.

Qualifications

• No experience or training is required for Mobile Equipment Operator 1.
• Operates field tractors, dump trucks, vans, and other equipment listed in the job description.
• May supervise lower graded operators and laborers as required.
• May operate other equipment listed for Mobile Equipment Operator--Light when necessary to accomplish work objectives.
• Mobile Equipment Operator 2 requires one year of experience in mobile equipment operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment to perform transportation, maintenance, or construction tasks.
• Operate and maintain lawn equipment and commercial mowers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Transport patients, students, workers, or other persons between sites on or off campus.
