Job summary

STI in Nashville, TN is seeking a Grounds Worker 1 to perform semi-skilled maintenance of campus grounds and landscapes, including mowing, pruning, planting, and basic repairs. You will operate rides and hand tools, water plants, apply herbicides, and assist with equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in grounds maintenance preferred.
• Ability to operate basic grounds equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Mows lawns and trims grass around walks, beds, and walls.
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape growth.
• Removes leaves, twigs, and debris with mowers and tools.
• Maintains hard surfaces, drives, and drainage features.
• Plants, waters, fertilizes, and applies herbicides/insecticides as needed.
• Repairs fences, irrigation, and small structures as required.
• Operates trucks/tractors for grounds work and assists with events.
