Job summary

Mid-Pacific Institute is seeking a Landscape Maintenance worker to care for school grounds, trees and landscaped areas under a Landscape Services Supervisor. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with possible weekend work.

Duties include operating landscape tools, pruning, irrigation work, and assisting with campus events. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and the ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart.
• Able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in landscape maintenance.
• Able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work as part of a team or independently when needed.
• Maintain a professional and polished appearance that aligns with the school’s standards and values.
• Have a service-oriented attitude and is able to work well with faculty, staff, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Operate all tools and equipment necessary for landscape maintenance.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of all equipment and tools used for landscape maintenance.
• Perform basic vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Cut grass; prune shrubs and trees; clean gutters, sidewalks, and roads.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides as needed and directed by the supervisor.
• Assist with trash pickup throughout campus.
• Keep all roads, walkways, paved, and concrete areas clean, clear, and safe of debris.
• Install and repair complete landscape irrigation systems.
• Regular and predictable attendance at work.
• Assist with set-up and cleaning tables, chairs, tarps, tents, etc. for school functions.
• Provide labor services to move furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Perform any duties required to support the operation and function of the School.
