Job summary

The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN invites applications for the Facilities Grounds Crew (Fed/State Work Study Only). This part-time role supports cleaning and maintenance services across campus grounds and buildings.

Responsibilities include floor care, trash removal, snow shoveling, lawn maintenance, and assisting with work orders and events. Eligibility requires CSS student status and federal work study participation.

Qualifications

• Must be a current CSS student.
• Federal work study eligibility is required.
• Ability to read and understand MSDS sheets and instructions related to chemical usage.
• Ability to bend and stoop to clean out of the way areas.
• Ability to push and pull a vacuum cleaner, broom and mop.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move tables and chairs (Max of 75 lbs.).
• Ability to work with chemicals for cleaning purposes.
• Ability to reach overhead for extended periods.
• Attend and participate in all required training.

Responsibilities

• Floor care: vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
• Empty trash and recycle containers around campus.
• Vacuuming/sweeping/mopping stairs.
• Snow removal around campus.
• Assist with work orders and event set ups.
• Lawn mowing, weed whipping, garden care, sweeping, raking.
• Care for fleet vehicles: washing, vacuuming, fueling, tire checks.
• Operate lawn mowers, weed whips, snowblowers and Kubotas.
