Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a FOOD SERVICE WORKER in North Haven, CT. The role involves preparing, presenting and serving meals on a campus setting with a temporary schedule (Mon-Thu 7:30am-3pm, Fri 7:30am-1pm) and a fixed pay rate of $16.94 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred, but willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Washes, peels, cuts and seeds fruits and vegetables as part of prep work.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator while observing safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality and correct serving temperatures.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following steps of service.
• Relays customer concerns to supervisor and assists in maintaining service standards.
• Complies with sanitation, safety, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
