Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Team Leader at the U of Mississippi Twin Towers C-Store. As a Food Service Worker, you will assist with food prep, portions, and serving customers under guidance, learning on the job, while maintaining a positive attitude.

You will lead line staff, ensure accurate portions, maintain safety logs, and support open/close procedures for daily operations. Prior food service experience and Serve Safe certification are favored.

• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Requires frequent lifting and moving of items.
• Ability to work in a kitchen area with heat, steam, loud noise, and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of and assist in preparation of food items for the day.
• Coordinate and assist in setting up and breaking down stations.
• Cook and prepare foods according to recipes and directions.
• Ensure accurate portions when preparing and serving items.
• Maintain daily temperature logs.
• Take samples of all food items before serving.
• Notify management of any quality issues.
• Open/close station checklists.
• Greet customers and assist with service quality.
• Coordinate and maintain a clean work station and equipment.
• Ensure sanitation of work areas and utensils.
• Dispose of waste properly from the service line.
• Move supplies between storage and work areas.
• Participate in daily safety observations and report hazards.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Assist with concessions, catering, and special events as required.
• Complete tasks assigned by supervisors or Aramark management.
• Lead and advise line employees to ensure timely service; request support for sanitation as needed.
