Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate as needed
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
• Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods per planned menu
• Prepare a daily report verifying transactions
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal
• Ensure storage of food in a sanitary manner
• Serve food according to meal schedules and policies
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
• Add garnishments to enhance customer appeal
• Coordinate major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and equipment
• Adhere to food safety regulations for sanitation and storage
• Adhere to the uniform policy
• Communicate with the Manager daily to prepare the day’s menu
• Supervise the food temperature requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work/storage area
• Scrub and sanitize counters and steam tables
• Follow procedures for cleanliness to ensure a safe environment
• Maintain garbage areas in a neat fashion
• Perform other duties in the kitchen as assigned
• Role may include physical demands and PPE usage
