Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a full-time Food Service Production Worker to join University Park Residential Dining. You will assist with daily preparation, manage serving lines and ensure freshness and cleanliness across food bars and stations.

Responsibilities include following recipes, operating equipment, monitoring portions and temperatures, and maintaining safety standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires commercial English usage, grammar and arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) including decimals and fractions; interpretation of reports, forms and records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items to be served following recipes and directions.
• Set up and check dishes, utensils, signs, condiments for serving lines and food bars.
• Maintain quality, freshness and cleanliness of food bars, stations and serving areas.
• Operate and clean equipment such as mixers, choppers, slicers, can openers, dish machines, toasters and fryers.
• Monitor temperatures and portions; ensure proper sanitation and food safety.
