Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College courses in food service/management preferred.
• Completion of an approved course in quantity food purchasing, production, service and nutrition preferred.
• Prior experience as a Food Service Director in a high quality hotel, resort, restaurant, or health care desired.
• Ability to follow approved recipes and menus for regular and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, staff and the public.
• Ability to use basic software programs to complete job functions.

Aufgaben

• Hire, supervise and evaluate staff.
• Conduct in-service classes for food service staff.
• Plan and prepare all meals served.
• Maintain budget, inventory and portion controls.
• Ensure sanitary work environment and compliance with local codes.
• Handle administrative duties to control equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a clean dining room.
• Obtain Serv Safe/Food Handler's Permit.
• Plan menus and ensure diets meet physician orders.
• Order food within budget guidelines and manage inventory.
• Develop culinary procedures to ensure timely and safe food service.
• Support student satisfaction with tailored meals.
• Coordinate coverage during employee absences.
• Assist in meal preparation when needed.
