Position Overview

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic and optimistic leader to serve as Campus Food Service Director at the University of Charleston in Charleston, WV.

Founded in 1960, AVI Foodsystems has become a respected food service provider known for quality, freshness, and excellent service.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring service quality and positive relationships
  • Manage team operations related to procurement, storage, preparation, and service of food
  • Lead food quality, inventory, safety, and customer service standards
  • Manage budgets, including purchasing and staffing
  • Approve food orders, monitor inventory, and control costs
  • Oversee team hiring, development, and meetings
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration among staff
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of food service management experience
  • Background as a chef or in culinary arts
  • Proven leadership in team management and development
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting and financial analysis
