Job summary

Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA seeks a Floor Technician 00291 to maintain multiple floors using floor maintenance equipment and supplies. You will help keep student housing facilities clean and safe and support Housing operations.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and experience with floor maintenance methods. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits included.

Qualifications

• This position requires knowledge of cleaning methods and supplies.
• Experience using floor maintenance equipment is preferred.
• Strong organization and ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain various floors by performing floor maintenance duties with appropriate equipment.
• Use cleaning methods and supplies to keep facilities clean and safe.
• Collaborate with Housing staff to ensure clean, well-maintained student housing facilities.
